On a recent inspiration date for myself, I went with family to a butterfly house. Butterflies always remind me of hope. Imagine a caterpillar believing in greater days ahead as he builds his cocoon. After the prescribed time, with much effort, it will emerge a glorious butterfly. Then the cycle begins again.
Inspiration verse: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Phil 1:6
I have created a collection of paintings that are based on the promise “You find what you are looking for.” This is a perfect example. I was looking for an interesting substrate, something unique, salvaged. This old dresser cabinet door suited the story I wanted to tell, perfect for a story of hope.
